At the Brush Chamber of Commerce we follow the Four-Point Committee Approach:
Involves getting all Chamber members working toward the same goal and assembling the appropriate human and financial resources to implement "Main Street" programs (membership recruitment, fund raising, organizing volunteers, Ambassador Program, ribbon cutting, etc.)
The marketing branch of "Main Street", which promotes a positive image of the business community and encourages consumers and investors to shop, work, play, live in and invest in the Brush community. Marketing Brush and "Main Street" to visitors, current residents, investors, and business owners through effective promotional strategies involves special events, retail promotions, and advertising and marketing campaigns to name a few.
Handles the physical characteristics of the business community and organizes improvement projects, helps educate the community about the importance of historic preservation and evaluate all facade grant applications. It is the purpose of the Committee to create an inviting atmosphere created through attractive window displays, street furniture, signs, sidewalks, streetlights, and landscapes.
Economic Vitality Committee
The business development arm of "Main Street" with the intention of strengthening the business community's existing assets while expanding and diversifying its economic base. This goal can be achieved by sharpening the competitiveness of existing businesses, recruiting new businesses and looking for new economic used to build a stronger and more profitable commercial district that responds to today's consumer needs.
