Fourth
of July Festivities:
July
2-4:Rodeos have consistently entertained Brush visitors
for over a hundred years. The first recorded rodeo happened in 1884
when Jared Brush brought together a trainload of Denver residents
to witness the amazing skills of cowboys. Brush Rodeo Association
has operated the "World's Largest Open Rodeo" since 1954.
Brush Rodeo Association became a member of the Colorado Pro Rodeo
Association in 2005 and the rodeo is a Colorado State Pro Rodeo
now. Today, a variety of community events keep Brush visitors busy.
These include fireworks, a parade, the Cowboy Breakfast, an Ice
Cream Social, the Golden West Art Show and the library's quilt show
and book sale. |
